Who is Amanda Glenn-Bradley?

That’s a pretty good question, honestly. Most people who know and love/tolerate me call me either Amanda and Manda (Mandy, as you noticed, isn’t on the list), AGB, ELP, or Rodeo. The two latter of the quintet are nicknames derived from my collegiate fraternity (KKPsi, baby!) and my summer gig as a Girl Scout camp counselor at Camp Pisgah for two amazing summers.

I’m a twenty-something native of Knoxville, TN who spent the formative years of her youth on a Christmas tree farm on the North Carolina/Tennessee line. After graduating from Madison High, I packed everything up and moved to Mississippi to attend Mississippi State University as a broadcast meteorology major. I lasted three years in that major until an epiphany struck me at summer camp and whammo, I changed my major to horticulture as a senior. North Carolina called me home in 2007 as I finished my degree with an internship…and drug my then-fiancee, now-husband John with me.

I believe in love conquering all and being the ultimate truth, Southern and French cuisines being superior to all other types, tradition meaning something, love knowing no boundaries such as gender, distance, or preference, being born and raised as a Southern lady is the greatest privilege I’ve ever been given complete with the accent, sass, gentility, and self-reliance that goes along with it, and that the SEC is the best collegiate sports conference in the world.

…yes, I realize this is random, but that’s me.

…and just so you’ll be in the know, the name of this blog is taken from the Darren Hayes song “On The Verge Of Something Wonderful” off of his “This Delicate Thing We’ve Made” album.
